[vlc] compile error with CVS-sources from 29.1.2004

Hello all,

I fetched the vlc-sources from CVS cause I did not succeed to compile the
sources from source-tarball.

I'm running a Suse 9.0 and used source-tarballs of the libs from vlc.
I compiled all libs with --enable-shared

Compiling vlc (with menuconfig and build-vlc) results in the following error:

mkv.cpp: In function `int Open(vlc_object_t*)':
mkv.cpp:636: error: `SCOPE_ALL_DATA' undeclared (first use this function)
mkv.cpp:636: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each
   function it appears in.)
mkv.cpp: In function `void InformationsCreate(input_thread_t*)':
mkv.cpp:2179: Warnung: unused variable `playlist_t*p_playlist'

I scanned my disc for any header containing the SCOPE_ALL_DATA, but I could
not find any.

Any hint is welcome.

kind regards

Geronimo
