[vlc] windows media 9 ?

hello,

I have a question regarding vlc 0.7.0 for debian/linux.
It would appear that I am able to receive multicasted streams of
windows media 9 from my ISP. This works quite well with windows and
WMP.

However, the thing is, I'd rather watch it on my linuxbox if possible.
This brings me to the question, is that in anyway possible with vlc ?

I fail miserably at this point in time.
When using tcpdump I can see that the igmpstuff works and the data
starts flowing in on the interface, but vlc doesnt display the picture
or plays the sound.

Should I give up and admit defeat or does anyone have any pointers
and/or hints ?
