No, the versions on the download page have to be compatible with the current 
release, not the CVS.

If you want the latest versions for compiling the CVS, you should usually 
download them directly from their website (you can also have a look at 
http://www.videolan.org/pub/testing/contrib which is usually more 
up-to-date).
