[vlc] How to show video in fullscreen w/o window?

Hello.

With VLC 0.7.2 (on Linux/X11) and vout SDL when I execute 'vlc 
--fullscreen some.avi' it opens interface (GTK), window with video (SDL), 
runs the video and then switches to fullscreen mode. That means the video 
is run for 2-3 seconds in window and rest is in fullscreen mode which is 
ugly. Is there any way how to play whole video in fullscreen? Thanks in 
advance.
