Ah, I found documentation for the telnet interface, but it's unfortunately
not at all in sync with reality:

	http://www.videolan.org/doc/vls-user-guide/en/ch05.html#id2855755

The page says:

help
 Usage: help [command].
Called with no argument, "help" gives the list of all the commands
(available or not). Called with one argument it gives details about how to
use the specified command.

Ok, that sounds good, lets try it:

> help show
help : Wrong command syntax

Hm, no go. Ok, but there should be a "browse" command:

browse
 Usage: browse [input].
Called without argument, "browse" gives all programs of inputs. Called
with one argument it only gives the programs of the specified input. Each
program is given with its status.

This sounds very useful, it should be able to list all services of the
currently tuned transponder/mux. Ok, lets try it:

> browse
browse : Unknown comand

I'd be very, very happy for some real life usage examples for the telnet
interface (or any non-gui interface for that matter!) together with DVB.

Somewhere around the place I've got an unfinished short story about
Schroedinger's Dog; it was mostly moaning about all the attention the cat
was getting.
