[vlc] VLC + G5 + optical + Dolby Digital

Hi All,

I'm facing some issues related to the audio playback of VLC and my G5.
I'm using the digital output (Optical SPDIF) to do the job, but the
result is only PCM stereo coming out of my Yamaha receiver, instead of
Dolby Digital as expected. I was pretending to use VLC to deliver
Hi-Res MPG2 with embedded Dolby Digital AC3 (.m2t). When ever I try to
play it, I get the following error: "coreaudio: failed to set buffer
size: [nope]" or just the PCM Stereo output when playing around with
the prefs. In my head, the digital audio signal needs to be transferred
straight to the receiver, without being down-sampled or decoded,
because this is Yamaha's role.

Thats it!

Greetings from Brazil
