Read like this: You want to stream via RTP. You can then only use RAW 
as muxing method.
Next table specifies that only MPEG 1,2,4 and MPGA, MP3, AC3 and FLAC 
can be used in this case.

hinted Video on Demand yes. but that's no live streaming. you can't 
just drop in the middle of a mp4 file stream and start watching. You 
always need to start at the beginning (where the hinting is done) to 
view the file. For true live streaming you should use RTSP/RTP which 
will send raw streams instead of a mp4 file over the network (even 
though the rtsp links show the .mp4 extension, you don't actually send 
the .mp4 file).

VLC currently doesn't support it.
