Unfortunatly vlc only support alsa for audio output, not for input when
streaming. Can you make these virtual devices into separate oss-emulated
devices? If so you can use vlc for it.

I have created .asoundrc file in my home directory. My .asoundrc file describes multiple virtual devices (VC1, VC2 ...). Each of these devices uses two channels. These virtual devices will be used with different radio stations. All these devices works perfect with other applications such as ices or darkice. I'm using plug:VC1 for virtual device VC1, plug:VC2 for virtual device VC2 etc. But when i try to do the same in vlc, these virtual devices are not found. What is the problem? What is the syntax of using alsa devices in vlc? Does vlc use .asoundrc file? Thank you in advance and sorry for my english.
