[vlc] about porting vlc to an embedded system

I want to port vlc to an embedded system,now I have the following problem:

Can anyone tell me the detailed steps of cross-compiling of an
unmodified vlc source? (e.g:how should I modify the 'configure' file
and which args are necessary to add behind 'configure' command , etc.)
