I know what PAR and VOL are.  I'm looking for something more than a
suggestion of rumors of a bug in the Sigma decoder, i.e. does anyone
know somewhere I might at least read the rumor?

When playing RTSP streams, the Amino asks for a raw MPEG-TS to be
delivered over UDP.  From my experience, it seems to use exactly the
same timing method for RTSP and multicasted streams.
