[vlc] help

I received a message from mailing-list that says:

List context changed to 'vlc' by following command.

and another:

List context changed to 'streaming' by following command.
>>appsub streaming acusticpax at hotmail.com 42D7993E:5F34.2:fgernzvat
Subscribed.

what does it mean? I have to do something? Thanks
