[vlc] VLC menu choices no longer in English

Hello,
              since upgrade from OSX 10.3 to OSX 10.4.2, my VLC menu  
choices are in some northern European language (Dutch?)

I am using VLC 0.8.2 (earlier version worked OK), OSX 10.4.2,  
Powerbook G4.

Since I cannot read the menu choices, I also cannot find where to  
select English for the VLC language.

Is there a way around this, or a version of VLC already in English?
