Sorry, no idea about the 2 first issues. But about 0.8.2, could you try
to add spaces in the size option of the directshow panel ?

For instance 640x480 would becaom 640 x 480.

Some people reported it to sole the BOSD issue, but we'd like to knwo if
this fix is univeral or not...
