[vlc] video working but not sound : streaming

hello all
 my scnerio is like........
i have to setup one VLS and then i have to stream video .
 but at first i tried using VLC with two computer in a lan.
i can stream video. but i cant stream video and audio together.
what can be the faults? or cant we stream video and audio together?
plx help me out.

my os : windows at both end
 unicast, 192.168.*.* , can do video stream but not audio together.
sound card is working fine.
