Nope, the first option did not help.
When I changed to windows GDI from default the picture became all squared in 
fullscreen and it did not solve my original problem. About the second 
suggestion on beta drivers, I did not find any at asus website.

I'm wondering if you can recommend any replacement mediaplayer until the 
next VLC version comes out? I've tried to play the movie I want to see with 
wmp but the sound is all distorted, and with windvd 4 i get the same 
problem.
