The problem had been reported before the 0.8.2 release , and "fixed".

Unfortuntately, I had made a mistake and the code snippet that fixed the
incorrect behaviour was only enabled in debug mode...

The 0.8.3 corrective release, which should be out in a few weeks, will
definitely fix that bug
