[vlc] videolan 8.1

Hi, 

I am a happy user of this fantastic program, I just install it on a new
notebook asus (sempron 3000, 512 ram, audio board invidia), but the audio is
completely in distortion because is too loud, so I tried to set it in the
preference but no way, there is something wrong. 

Do you have some suggestion to solve my problem?
