I am multicasting mpeg2ts streams from target ( wiscore kit that uses
uclinux and arm7tdmi)
to a windows2000 machine .I have used multicast address 235.23.5.5
,port 6000 to send the RTP packets in my application that is run on
target .So to receive and play back the TS I have set

UDP/multicast :235.23.5.5 and port 6000 in open network stream option
of vlc in Windows machine.

Running the application on linux as source , I am able to receive and
playback successfully. Running the application on target, the player
is unable to play mpeg2ts streams .

I have a doubt whether vlc is not able to receive from this address
but there was no error message listed

./kk
