[vlc] VLC forgets preferred audio track?

Dear VLC Team,

first I'd like to say thank you for a great player.

I usually work with video files that have two audio tracks. When I put 
two of those in the playlist and select audio track 2, VLC switches to 
playing audio track 1 when the first finished and the second starts 
playing. Is there any way to make VLC remember the selected audio track 
(for the current session or individually for the files in the playlist)?
