[vlc] Audio /Video are not in sync

dear all,

im using vlc for conversion of video from wmv(2) to ogg (vorbis/theora). 
After the conversion
the audio and video are not in sync for few files.The source wmv file is 
good and plays well
in mplayer and vlc. What might be the problem with the conversion ?
