Hi everybody.
I'm trying to capture from two different devices. The first is a
Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 USB webcam, and the second is the
composite-in on a cx88 based card from Hauppage.
The webcam works like a charm, but the Hauppage card fails with the
error messages:
[00000246] v4l demuxer debug: v4l device uses chroma: I420
[00000246] v4l demuxer warning: I420 refused
[00000246] v4l demuxer error: chroma selection failed
This card works fine under xawtv. So it looks like it's a chroma
issue, but to be honest I'm not having much luck trying to specify
something different on the command line. Should I be trying to use a
different chroma? If so, how do I find out which one, etc..
I'm running vlc-0.8.1-1 from the rpm tarball on the website, on Fedora
Core 3, kernel 2.6.11-1.14_FC3.
Cheers,
Cian
