[vlc] 1080i deinterlacing problem

Hello there.  I am trying to play back a 1080i stream and it appears
that "bob" and "linear" are the two that do the best job.

However, they have a weird tendency to switch from 60fps to 30fps and
back every once in awhile (5-10 seconds).  It doesn't make a
difference if I enable or disable frame dropping (--no-skip-frames).
Any idea what else to try?

The picture looks so good when it is actually doing 60fps, it is
torture to see it switch back and forth so often.  I am happy with
how well the audio stays in sync compared to mplayer!
