[vlc] VLC and support for win32codecs (for Real Media Formats)

I know.. I know.. All through google and the vlc forums says that it's
not possible to play rmvb files in VLC.

On of the developers say that all the plugins/codecs are bundled with
VLC and it does not use external DLLs.

It's said that Real Media formats are proprietary, however, how come WMA
formats arent and they are supported with --enable-dmo and
--enable-loader?

In Gentoo, there's an option for building VLC with Win32codec support,
but based on my experience and my checking, it doesn't seem like it
really is using the win32codecs package.

Can anyone confirm if one can use win32codecs on VLC?

Also, what is the reason for not providing support for usage of
win32codecs in VLC?

Thanks.
