[vlc] Hardware MPEG2 encoding?

We're doing some of our encoding on WIN-TV PVR 350 cards which support hardware
mpeg2 encoding.  The VLC wiki indicates that on linux with the right drivers
VLC will use the hardware encoding.  Is this true on windows under directshow
as well, or will this all be software encoding?
