Can you confirm that exactly the same .bin file plays OK in the older VLC
but not the new?  (Perhaps the particular file that didn't work is using an
audio CODEC that VLC doesn't understand, while others that you have tested
with the odler VLC are supported)

within the last week vlc has stopped playing the audio from .bin files.
before that .bin files were playing fine with full functionality. I was
using 0.84 so I reverted to 0.82 and still have no audio being played from
.bin files. avi files are functioning normally.

any ideas? has anybody else experienced this problem?
