[vlc] SAP (sdr mbone) playlist freeze

Hello,

I try to read SAP (sdr) announces from the mbone as I used to do it in 
the past with sdr/vic/rat applications.
as mentioned in http://www.via.ecp.fr/via/ml/vlc/2005-07/msg00050.html I 
use option -S sap (and not  anymore vlc --extraintf sap as mentioned in 
http://www4.renater.fr/GC/VideoLAN/FAQ.htm :-( !)
Then I go in "view" "playlist" "manage" "service discovery" to show SAP 
annonces, it does start to increment  the list items number (up to more 
than 100 items ...)  then the playlist window freezes, here's an example 
with root account :

Any idea ? is vlc capable of playing mbone streams ? how ?
