Hello

I'm cross posting, because i've posted the problem in the vlc list -
however, the problem's would easily be resolved by updating the
documentation for building the mozilla-plugin with the cygwin interface.

if the build crashes while building the mozilla plugin where it's
creating the xpcom object using xpidl.exe the problem is likely due to
the libIDL.dll being updated, and incompatible.

The documentation points to:
     ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/libraries/win32
the libIDL.dll requied is the version found in the
./historic/vc6/libIDL-0.6.3-win32-bin.zip
while the glib-1.2.dll required is the one found in
./historic/vc71/vc71-glib-1.2.10-bin.zip

using the libIDL.dll found in the vc71 folder will cause xpidl.exe to crash.

hope this saves someone else from a few days of frustration.

ken.
