[vlc] Vlc and mp3-files.

Hello!
I have a small problem.
I have set my mp3-files to play in foobar2000 and thats what i want.
However when looking at them in my computer they show up as vlc-media files 
even if they are playing automatically in another player.
Is this normal or?
