At the downloads page I just had not found (overseen) any mentioning (Optical

Yes, that´s it. Loaded the versions, compared... No enlarging, no mystery.
The terminal output of that VLC/Quicktime conflict was getting me nervous.
If I hadn´t lost my software repository, I would have had "my" original and not
have had bothered anyone.
BTW: Within finder information, you can distinguish between "Classic" Programs
and OS X apps and carbonized dual-use ones, but not Intel, PowerPC and UB ones,
at least in 10.3.x
