Hi all,

I can't manage to make VLC render SRT encoded subtitles. For a reason i can't
understand it loads then unloads the "XML" module repeatedely each time it tries
to display the current subtitle on the video.

below is the part of the log exhibiting this behaviour :

...
[snip]
[00000330] main private debug: looking for text renderer module: 1 candidate
[00000330] freetype private debug: using fontsize: 23
[00000330] main private debug: using text renderer module "freetype"
[00000333] main private debug: looking for xml module: 2 candidates
[00000333] main private debug: using xml module "xml"
[00000333] main private debug: removing module "xml"
[00000336] main private debug: looking for xml module: 2 candidates
[00000336] main private debug: using xml module "xml"
[00000336] main private debug: removing module "xml"
[00000338] main private debug: looking for xml module: 2 candidates
[00000338] main private debug: using xml module "xml"
[00000338] main private debug: removing module "xml"

... endlessly

[00000474] main private debug: looking for xml module: 2 candidates
[00000474] main private debug: using xml module "xml"
[00000474] main private debug: removing module "xml"

[snip]
... then i press the stop button...
[00000236] main playlist debug: incoming request - stopping current input
[00000236] main playlist debug: dying input
[00000248] main input debug: control type=0
[00000248] main input debug: control: stopping input
... and it stops gracefully.

The video plays just fine. DVD subtitles work like a charm.
It is with everytly snapshot i tried , as well as with v0.8.6c

I am running :
- kernel-2.6.21.4
- libc-2.4,
- libxml-2.6.26,
- gcc-4.2.1

Thanks for helping!
Regards, Seb.
