hi all,

i have an hauppauge pvr-350 in a linux box with ivtv drivers ...

if i `cat /dev/video0 > file.mpeg` and vlc the file, the image is
perfect -- its coming from a scart connector on the back of a sat_tv
decoder into the hauppauge.

here's my vlc.conf:

new sat_tv broadcast enabled
setup sat_tv input pvr://
setup sat_tv option pvr-device="/dev/video0"
setup sat_tv option pvr-norm=0
setup sat_tv option pvr-frequency=203000
setup sat_tv option pvr-bitrate=-1
setup sat_tv option pvr-width=-1
setup sat_tv option pvr-height=-1
setup sat_tv option pvr-framerate=-1
setup sat_tv option pvr-keyint=-1
setup sat_tv option pvr-bframes=-1
setup sat_tv option pvr-bitrate-peak=-1
setup sat_tv option pvr-bitrate-mode=0
setup sat_tv option pvr-audio-bitmask=-1
setup sat_tv option pvr-channel=-1
setup sat_tv output #standard{access=http,mux=ts,dst=172.16.16.2:8080}
control sat_tv play

a vlc client has a poor/choppy/squared looking image ...

i'm looking for the highest quality possible to the client -- can you
see anything wrong here?

thanks a million

charles
