[vlc] INPUT_CONTROL_SET_TIME failed or not possible

Hi folks,

I'm using VLC 0.8.6c on Windows to play MPEG2 video files and it's
working really well. The picture quality is much better than with
MPlayer. There's one thing that doesn't work, though. When I send a jump
command (i.e. "Medium forward jump") it doesn't work and I get this in
the Message window:
=====
main debug: control type=8
mpeg_audio debug: emulated startcode (no startcode on following frame)
main warning: INPUT_CONTROL_SET_TIME(_OFFSET) 30000000 failed or not
possible
main warning: backward_pts != dts (497778)
main warning: backward_pts != current_pts (-66734)
main warning: backward_pts != current_pts (-497778)
main warning: late picture skipped (7589250000)
=====

However, when I click on the progress bar (control type 5), I can go
where I want in the video:
=====
main debug: control type=5
mpeg_audio debug: emulated startcode (no startcode on following frame)
ts warning: lost synchro
ts debug: skipping 128 bytes of garbage
ts warning: discontinuity received 0xd instead of 0x4 (pid=6691)
ts warning: discontinuity received 0x9 instead of 0x6 (pid=6690)
main warning: backward_pts != dts (-207169121)
mpeg_audio debug: emulated startcode (no startcode on following frame)
main warning: backward_pts != dts (207340466)
main warning: backward_pts != current_pts (207169121)
main warning: late picture skipped (7198765000)
main warning: backward_pts != current_pts (-207340467)
ts debug: PATCallBack called
ts debug: PMTCallBack called
main warning: PTS is out of range (207215966), dropping buffer
main warning: buffer is 67179 in advance, triggering downsampling
main debug: decoded 89/102 pictures
=====

Anyone knows why it doesn't work and what I could do to fix it?

Thanks a lot,
GFK's
