>From this display it looks like top is not showing SMP view. Pressing
'1' toggles SMP view. If you can see a CPU0 somewhere near the top of
the display, you should be all set.

Anyway, did you see the CPU number changing, even after a while? Are
you running a SMP kernel? What does uname -r give you?
