[vlc] Some MacOSX questions

Hello,

I'm using the current version 0.8.6 on my intel iMac with 10.4.10 (or
whatever's newest) and I'm having some questions.
1. I remember it was once possible to set my external monitor to be
the default, but Preferences>Video>Output Modules>macosx doesn't
exist anymore, so I can't set that.
2. I'm told that I can't use the MacOSX interface as an extra
interface, and that I should see the README.MacOSX.txt file, except
it doesn't mention anything about using the Macosx interface, as an
extra interface, or otherwise. (But the problem doesn't prevent me
from using the macosx interface, or the ncurses interface)
3. When I run clivlc with the ncurses interface, I get the error
message:" Trace/BPT trap41:53.734 clivlc[14076] *** Uncaught
exception: <NSInvalidArgumentException> *** -[NSPlaceholderDictionary
initWithObjects:forKeys:count:]: attempt to insert nil value " and
then the program quits. I can run VLC with the ncurses interface, but
I *must* use the macosx interface as well, I can't run it command-
line only.

Any help would be super appreciated.

BTW, I did some researching, and version 0.8.4 was the most recent
that would let me run clivlc with no errors. It was also the most
recent version to have Preference > Video > Output Modules > macosx.
