[vlc] dvb-s channel.conf help needed thx :)

Hi people,
is there a way to make vlc read the channel.conf from a dvb-s created channels.conf file? so that i could a call a channel by something like this 'vlc dvb://MTV' when it is inside the channel.conf of course. I read that in dvb-s it is possible, but i have not been successful with dvb-s any ideas?
