Hey folks,

I've been using vlc for a while now to play DVDs. I learned the other
day that it's possible to use it to stream media as well. Fancy.

So, I've got a need for a compact streaming media player now. We need
to verify that the packet filter in our firewall product doesn't kill
the throughput of audio and video streams. Can someone help me put
together something that does the following without having to click
buttons or scroll scrollbars?

* Set up a streaming server
* Connect a client to the streaming server
* Determine the framerate of the video
* Verify that no audio skips occurred
* Disconnect client
* Brind down server

Looking forward to your response!

C.J.
