Hi CJ,

AFAIAC, in order to achieve your goals you should try it through the
commands that the VLC documentation gives information about or, in case you
would like to develop your own script/s or application/s, use the LibVLC API
and code it/them.

By the way, the server part can be cofigured through the VLM interface but I
don't think you can force the client to connect and receive the stream (I
mean 'without having to click buttons or scroll scrollbars'). And note also
that the streaming server configuration will change with the next VLC
release in the coming days.
