Heya,

as you can simply see by googling for

> 2vuy

it is not supported by FFmpeg. Still, if it would be supported by its
current version, VLC 0.8.6i uses FFmpeg revision 75xx. Since the
current revisions of FFmpeg are somewhere around 14300, it's pretty
obvious that VLC 0.8.6i lacks a lot of stuff.

VLC 0.9.0 is going to be released in one month from now and will
include a recent version of FFmpeg among various other improvements.
So, I ask you to download a pre-release version and give it a try: <http://downloads.videolan.org/pub/videolan/testing/vlc-0.9.0-test2

Ah, btw. It doesn't matter whether you install FFmpeg or not. VLC uses
its internal version only and doesn't notice anything else. Same for
QuickTime. We just need QT 6.5.2 or later. What "later" exactly is,
isn't really relevant to us. (Note that VLC 0.9.0 will require
QuickTime 7.)

Kind regards,

Felix
