[vlc] I need help with downloading VLC

I am using Ubuntu 7.10 and I don't have an internet connection on my machine. I need VLC to listen to some music, watch some DVD's, VCD's etc, what can I  do? Do you have a .deb version with all the dependencies? Where can find them? If not, what are my options besides getting an internet connection? (almost impossible in the very near future cause Ubuntu doesn't recognize my modem). Thanks for reading this.
