[vlc] couldn't playback the 720p Video stream on VLC

I'm not that expert of vlc,
but is it obvious that this is a performance problem, or it can be a
bandwidth problem? Is it a live stream or a VOD stream?
Is vlc really not capable of playing 720p in real time on modern hardware?
