[vlc] playlist autoplay ?

hi 
 my name is Donald Baynes 
i have used vlc for years now  and i love the product

i was using the beta of ver 9 and loved it  the new formats  support is great 
 - i just downloaded the new version today and  files added to the  playlist autoplay 
 this really sucks :(  
because i often add files to my playlist while a file  is playing 
i went through the settings and i did not find anything to turn this off 

i am on win xp sp2
