[vlc] VLC Media Player Problems: Video Snapshots, Subtitles, Minimize to Taskbar/ System Tray

You can change the snapshot size from the preferences panel (All / Video).

Most probably the subtitle file is not in sync with your DVD. In that case, 
there is no way to fix this.
