VLC plug-in for Firefox (Mac PPC) prevents Safari 4 from playing sounds embedded in web pages!!! Checked and counter-checked. Moving it to user/library/internet plugins lets Safari play sound, but then no streaming can be seen in Firefox Mac. Duplicating the plug-in in both plug-in directories crashes Firefox.
