[vlc] Please can I request some guidanceregarding your VLC player and an AVI codec

Dear Sirs,

My name is Johnny Cooper and I am searching all over the Internet for a media player that will play AVI files using the ICM.IV50 codec.

If I downloaded your VLC media player (My O/S is Windows Vista Ultimate SP1), would it play the above video format?.

Is the VLC player free or is there a fuller featured paid for version?. If there is, could you please send me the link?.
