[vlc] VLC as a video source

Folks,

I would like to use VLC as multicast video source.  There would be one
VLC sourcing the video, and then multiple VLC clients joining the IP
multicast group to get the feed.

Could someone please tell me how to get the source to subscribe to the
multicast group ? It'd need to send an IGMP message...

Is there any doc that talks about this ?
