Hello
Since some months I have a problem with a live stream from my ISP.
First some information about the stream:
It's an TV-Stream, only works with WMP-10 on Windows (the provider says
this). But with some information it's possible to catch the stream with VLC.
Now some words about my system:
Debian Lenny
SuSE 10/11
Ubuntu Hardy
Gentoo Linux
VLC 0.8.6 to VLC 1.0 SVN
The problem:
After some time, 1-2 minutes, the stream abort with VLC and the debug
will not tell me anything usefully.
I tried much version of VLC and only one snapshot was working (it's was
some weeks before vlc 0.9 was launched). With this version it was
possible to watch the stream without any interrupts. (The picture was
frozen for 1-2 seconds but the stream was not aborting then.)
Now all newer versions has this "bug" that the streams abort after some
minutes. There must be a problem when a timeout occurs with VLC.
For some months I've debugged the network traffic when the stream was
running. *1
Too I gave the -v5 to vlc when played the stream. *2
I launched vlc with this command: vlc --rtsp-tcp --rtsp-caching 5000
rtsp://stream.livetv.chello.ch/PRO7 -v5
I hope my English is not to bad. For any information or help thanks.
If you need more information let it me know.
