[vlc] ogg help

Hi,
I wonder why I can't read any of the ogg's I create with vlc with the option --sout > file/ogg anywhere other than with vlc.
For instance, I can read 
 http://ftp.hosteurope.de/mirror/ftp.suse.com/pub/people/mana/ogg/boellmann-0.0.1.ogg
(which I have not created) with audacity or vcut but neither audacity nor vcut can read my vlc-created oggs.

Is it a bug or do I miss something ?

I work on Kubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) with vlc 0.9.9a Grishenko if it can help.
