[vlc] Way to disable loading of preference file?

Using VLC media player - version 0.9.8 Grishenko for Mac from command line:

/Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/VLC -I dummy 
udp://@233.0.59.100:1234 
--sout="#transcode{vcodec=mp4v,deinterlace,threads=8}:std{access=udp{ttl=255},mux=ts,dst=233.0.59.102:1234}"


Is there a way to disable VLC's loading a preferences file?
