What? That exact fix was merged in the 1.0.2 release... and should also fix 
the other AVI playback problem report.

How much did he pay to get support? ah yes, zero.

I'm spending a larger chunk of my FREE TIME that I would like on the forums 
and on reviewing patches. I gave up on Trac due to technical problems. And I 
guess people like J-B and Xtophe are doing even more... for free.

First, we cannot answer to every one. Second, we cannot know the answer to 
every problem.

Are you suggesting that we just leave assign all bugs to the "next release" 
and just postpone them at every release? That would be stupid. If nobody 
committed to fixing an issue, it's in the paradise.

Other we will never ever ever make a release, as we will always have "critical 
regressions" pending never coming bug fix. No need to reopen that topic AGAIN.
