[vlc] VLC streaming problems

Hallo.
I am a VLC 1.1.2 user from Italy and am experiencing some streaming 
problems opening this url: 
http://mediapolis.rai.it/relinker/relinkerServlet.htm?cont=162063 and 
all other relating to Radio RAI (please see with your browser 
http://www.rai.tv/dl/RaiTV/popup/player_radio.html?v=1&plr=w).
After some minutes of listening, audio becomes fragmentary and 
inaudible, in some cases audio stops at all, though the player interface 
doesn't reveal any inconvenience.
This issue doesn't happen opening same url from within the browser 
(Mozilla firefox 3.6.8) via the  windows media player (11.0.5721....) 
embedded plugin.
I am a windows xp user 32 bit, AMD Athlon II X2 250 processor.
If you can reproduce this problem I with many other Italian users will 
appreciate very much a suggestion to avoid this, since RAI is the 
national broadcasting service for Italy.
